Certainly, there are online business models that can generate $1 million in revenue with minimal to no employees, passive recurring income, and scalability.
Here are some examples:
- E-commerce Dropshipping Store: Set up an e-commerce store and partner with suppliers to dropship products. With automated order processing and marketing, this business can be relatively hands-off once set up.
- Affiliate Marketing Website: Create a niche affiliate website with high-quality content and earn commissions through affiliate partnerships. It can generate passive income as long as you maintain the site. The Wealthy Affiliate Program is an example.
- Subscription Box Service: Develop a subscription box business where customers receive curated products regularly. The key is to automate sourcing and shipping.
- Digital Products Sales: Sell digital products such as e-books, online courses, or stock photos. Once created, these products can generate revenue with minimal ongoing effort.

It is my opinion, that the affiliate, marketing model is one of the better methods of earning online income. The reason is when you are an affiliate of another product, you do not need to worry about fulfillment of the product or warehousing of the product or even deal with customer service and returns. Once you make the connection, the commission is yours, as long as the company is still in business.
