The 24 Hour Amazon Cookie

Is it still true that the Amazon platform has a 24 hour cookie.

Meaning, that if a sale happens within 24 hours of any product on the Amazon platform you earn a commission as long as they enter the platform with your unique link?

Is this still the case?

If so, would the strategy of simply driving traffic of “Amazon shoppers” to the platform, using your unique link, be wise?

Knowing that some people are addicted to shopping, what if that was your target audience, and you simply drove them to the Amazon platform.

It would be like driving traffic into the Mall of America, and if the traffic audience were “addicted shoppers”, you would very probably earn commissions, because they would buy something before they left the store.

Am I way off base, or is this a possible strategy?
